Conscientization

I have recently been to a conference about organising for 'pupil voice'. Part of this was existing strategies like school councils and parliaments. ...
....BUT....
....another pathway was through Anna Craft's New Generation Documentors, where groups of children observe, reflect and analyse on what and how they are being taught. Imagework

I am reading A Guide to Imagework by Ian Edgar (2004)....... has anyone experienced using these imagination-based research strategies in education practices relating to ICT or anything else for that matter?

Hope 2008 is starting well for everyone!

Nigel, I also work with students who have autism. I sometimes join students on field trips in the community, and take my video camera and digital camera with me. We are putting together digital social stories that combine video and photos.

I'm a school psychologist, but I'm also a computer student. Right now, I've been experimenting with interactive applications that embed videoclips and photos to make more dynamic social stories.

I've also use Google Earth to add photos as overlays that link to videoclips. This is fun to work with on an interactive whiteboard or touch-screen display.
You can put videoclips in Inspiration- which is fun.

An interesting exercise maybe - to figure out what was said! Hope it stood without the words. Of course by not limiting people they may see something different that adds to the idea. If there is any interest I would be happy to dialog one way or another.

By the way speaking of PPT and visualizing, efficiently in this case, have you ever tried pecha kucha? I am trying it with a group in the New Year I hope.
